So you are running a website or a blog. And no doubt you have so much love for that.

You should.

I love my blog. Every blogger out there loves their blog.

But, the cruel truth is that many of them are not ranking well in search engines.

You can fight with me for that comment.

You can discuss with me.

And You can through comments on my face for that.

But you can not change the truth that everyone is not ranking well.

And If you say a maximum of them are ranking in the search engines, then that will be the page number 21st in google search engine.

But, the better side is that they can rank.

You can rank.

I have ranked my blogs on search engines.

My bad luck some of them are still ranking or will rank till I’m here, writing on.

Not only they rank but only by taking a few steps or correcting some mistakes.

Those mistakes are not big, but those are affecting their search engine ranking.

But I know you will not repeat these mistakes. People have made those mistakes in the past, but you can correct them.

You will not repeat those mistakes because I’m here.

Now you will see seven common mistakes that people make while blogging or publishing content online.

These seven mistakes everyone should avoid if they want to rank better in search engines.

Here your wait ends so, let’s get started boom!

Your Website is Slow

I’m not saying this.

Use GTmetrix or Pingdom Tools or Google Page Speed Insights.

These tools will tell you what? The truth that your website is slow.

Website’s speed is a major factor nowadays.

But why?

It’s a matter of user experience.

Yes, you read it right. User experience is the top priority.

And when it comes to the Internet, Users don’t have time to wait that I have discussed in my earlier post.

Suppose you are eagerly looking for the answers to your questions online.

Then the website you clicked on first takes time to load.

What will you do?

You will leave that site if that is not the only answer to your question.

You will leave that website without waiting.

Search Engine crawlers will notice that in terms like “time spend”.

If this happens, again and again, it will not be a good sign.

So, if you want to look better in search engines, increase the speed of the website.

Not Having A Blog on Main Website

Yup! I have seen many top companies they do not use any blog on their site.

How could they do that? Especially when they are trying hard to build an audience and a unique market reputation.

I know to save some resources, money you can use other free blogging platforms, but create a blog on your site.

That is the only way to tell search engines that you are consistently producing quality content for your users.

Updated content is a necessity for good online visibility.

By having a blog on your website, you can create a call to action funnel for users. That is a story for another day.

Use a blog on your main website. It helps to rank in search engines.

Using An Alien Type URL Formatting

Alien Type URL Formatting SEE, like this👇

“www.alientypeurl.com/sshdfhaksdhfhah9p==hrroibmnvnkhfiuar-hkfab3843897493118749“

That hurts.

Of course Search Engines. Not only hurts, but it also breaks the heart of the search engine’s crawlers.

Wait and what about me?

I do yoga after seeing that URL formatting, for a whole day.

And you should too.

Let’s make it easier for everyone. Always use a simple, short and to the point URL formatting.

Like this👉 www.alientypeurl.com/short-simpe-url

It will help users to find any of your content easily. Search Engines will also get a clear idea of what are you writing.

Try to use a keyword of your content. But, remember to make it short and memorable.

Not Using HTTPS

What is Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS)?

It is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). People are using it for secure communication over a computer network.

Wikipedia tells everything about HTTPS easy and to the point. So no need to take stress on HTTPS.

You may have seen when you visit a website your browser says that this website is not safe to visit!

That’s why HTTPS is a great signal for search engines that your website is safe. Your website is secure for visitors.

It will not take much effort from you many hosting providers are giving it for free.

Use it and tell the users that you are safe.

Using Duplicate Meta Descriptions

Hey, do not try this. Never.

You have invested a lot of time and effort to build a website, a brand.

You have invested endless hours in writing and producing good content for the website.

Then write two more lines for meta descriptions.

That’s it, and if you don’t have time to do that, craft two lines from your beautiful content.

You’ll look-alike a hard-working person in the user’s eyes and Google’s too.

Go, write new meta descriptions for every new and old, pages and blog posts of your website.

You will feel better.

And again, don’t do it once, never try this at once, do it one by one.

Do you see that? Did you see that? I have reduced your burden.

Smile please and focus on reading.

Not Sharing Your Content on Social Media Again and Again

Share your content on social media platforms, explore the knowledge of social media marketing.

Sharing your content on social media gives an initial boost to published content. That powers your content for more online visibility.

Don’t wait, go, share all your content on all social media channels you are using.

But, wait! first, let me finish this article.

Whenever you share your content on social media, it tells search engines you are alive in the internet world.

It helps in Search Engine Ranking. Remember every share count.

This way, you will give authority to your content. You will expand your brand visibility on online channels.

Not Having Quality Content On Website

Quality!!

Did you say quality?

I have put in hundreds of hours to write and curate my content.

What do you mean by quality? Tell me?

See, you don’t have quality content on the website doesn’t mean you are not hard-working.

I’m not saying this. You are hard-working and will always be.

But let’s discuss, what is the meaning of quality?

Here, quality means the content what people want.

Yes, and to produce that content, you have to be a user of your website, not owner or writer.

Owner and writer, that is the later part, first be a user, simple user.

Do this exercise you will get your answers.
